Holidays and fun!!!

The open air Kapani Market is the oldest market place in Thessaloniki. It is located in the city center and hosts a whole array of shops, from fish and meat to vegetables, fruits, drinks, olives, sweets, nuts, spices, outdoor shops selling lingerie, flowers, clothes and shoes; and restaurants. I had a great lunch there and was able to buy some gifts from the unique vendors that have stores there.

Wonderfully authentic market in central Thessaloniki. Selling everything from olive oil soap to entrails. And everything in between. Very "local". We got some delicious halva here and some fun souvenirs to bring back to the family.

Really authentic Greek market experience, you can buy everything here. Not really designed as a tourist trap as there's not much cooked food here, but that's part of the charm. Go a bit early as we arrived around 2pm and many places seems to be shutting down for lunch, and when we returned after lunch everything were closed.

I really liked it. Take into account that I like markets. Prices are good. 30 to 60 minutes . Very fresh vegtables.
