This is a place not to miss out on. Genuine Greek home cooked food. You are taken to the kitchen to see whats on offer - meat and vegetable dishes and they make the most amazing greek salads. Wine is plentiful and company is amazing. Makis makes all very welcome

We happened upon this taverna after a long walk from Agios Gordios and getting caught in the rain. What a warm welcome. We were shown into the kitchen, shown the dishes cooking, and we made our chose. We then settled ourselves on the top terrace with 2 beautiful cats and a gorgeous puppy. My husband had the moussaka I had a vegetable stew, we shared a Greek salad, tzatki and lots of bread. Food was simply delicious, a special experience in a small village. Highly recommended a visit

It s my second time here.I was informes about this place about 5 years ago and i am happy to see they are still one of the best taverns i have ever tried

What a wonderful warm welcome we received for our first visit here! Makis, the owner of Angela's Taverna welcomes you and treats you as a friend. Being able to go into the kitchen to see what is being cooked that day was such a special experience! The food was amazing, really fresh ingredients and tasted fantastic. It was our favourite meal of the holiday!

I hiked over from Agios Gordios (only mad dogs and English(wo)men go out in the midday sun!) and stopped here to grab a drink. I saw a sign for fresh lemon and thought that would be perfect. The lovely guy handed me a homemade biscuit and brought me up a glass of the best lemon I’ve ever tasted. Probably 3 freshly squeezed sweet lemons slightly watered down and sweetened in a glass. Heaven. Cute roof top with good views too. On leaving he handed me an homegrown orange ‘for the journey’

Een avond om niet te vergeten! Traditioneel Grieks zonder menukaart, je mag zelf een kijkje nemen in de keuken. De gastheer is een enorm spontane en gezellige man die ervoor zorgt dat je het naar je zin hebt. Eten op het dakterras is een aanrader.

Be sure to sit on the roof-top patio and order whatever they recommend for the day. The eggs were so fresh and delicious!

We were invited all the way into the kitchen to select the food for our menu. Everything was fresh, homemade and completely delucious. I have great respect for a tavern owner who doesn't serve french fries with everything. He didn't even have them in the freezer. Tzaziki, salad, baked aubergines and beef stew. Perfect meal. Wonderful view from the roof terrace. And we got hugs and fresh oranges to take with us as we left.

This is for me the best! It's remote but welcoming. It's basic but incredible. The roof terrace is surrounded by lemon and orange trees and the view of Agios Gordis is spectacular. There is no menu. We could choose our drinks but we were told what Makis would be serving us. The food was incredibly tasty and was beautifully cooked. It is incredible value too. This will be a meal I will always remember.
