I've been to Paleochora 3 times in the last 6 years and one of my favourite things about this place is the Cafe Almyrida. Stelios and his wife Katarina are so charming and friendly, that it's hard to leave the terrace and go to the beach.

On the recommendation of someone I met at Plakias YH I tried out Cafe Almyida. I very much enjoyed both the filtered coffee and biscuit cake, so much so that I visited it twice during my short stay in Paleochora. It's a husband and wife team: he's Greek and I think she is German. Besides the good food they are very friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed being waited upon by the husband carrying my food on a Cretan Tray!

A delightful kafenion with splendid views from the patio. The menu is limited but this is a kafenion, not a restaurant. The food that is on offer is excellent, the staff are attentive and very helpful and there's a large selection of books for customers to borrow and read while enjoying the view!

Going to Almyrida for breakfast ensures a perfect start to the day. Stelios and Katerina always greats you with a smile, and the food is very good. The view from the terrace is calming and beautiful.

Das kleine Café mit der traumhaften Terrasse, ein wenig abseits gelegen in der Altstadt, war eine schöne Entdeckung. Ein grandioser Blick aufs Meer, hervorragendes Essen, zum Nachtisch einen leckeren frisch gebackenen Kuchen, dazu griechischer Kaffee. Das war richtiger Urlaub! Man konnte die Seele baumeln lassen. Katharina und Stelios sind offene, herzliche und sehr fröhliche Gastgeber. Wir werden wiederkommen. Liebe Grüße ins Almiryda aus Norddeutschland!

Süßes nettes und kleines Café inmitten der Stadt. Frühstück, Cappuccino und frischer O-Saft sind sehr zu empfehlen. Super Preis-Leistungs-V und angenehmer Service.

Siamo stati conquistato dalla posizione, e dall' enorme albero che cresce nel centro della terrazza rialzata. Davvero un posto magico, e il proprietario ci ha trattato davvero bene, anche se il servizio non è stato proprio rapidissimo. In ogni caso, prezzi nella media e buona qualità.Vale da solo la strada per Paleochora.

e sono molto sorpresa di un commento tanto negativo, conosco il posto da anni e soprattutto conosco le persone che lo gestiscono, gentili, affettuose con le persone e con gli animali, sostengono un gruppo che si occupa di animali (cani, gatti) abbandonati..dunque mi sembra assolutamente improbabile il gesto di Katherina verso il gatto! Meglio sarebbe stato aver chiarito subito con lei...Il Cafè Almyrida rimane uno dei posti più deliziosi di Paleochora grazie anche ai loro proprietari
