An amazing experience to see this «traditional Greek gastronomy gem» while visiting Greece. Saw the old man in the morning, the son and the grandson i guess doing the dough. Took videos and pictures with his son Paraskevas and his wife and went home with the freshly baked pastries we enjoyed during the evening. A must experience in Greece! 🇬🇷🧑🍳

A must visit when in Rethymnon. Watch how filo pastry is made. It was amazing to see the long and meticulous the process. You can even buy some of their sweets there.

Very well hidden place in the streets of Rethymon, and yet people come from far away to witness the making of baklava dough.Very tasty pastries and it would be a shame not to try them!

Definitely visit, have a look and ship! You cannot find better kataifi, or syrup Greek desserts like baklava anywhere else! To top it of, you will meet some of the best people who own the place!

Dal 1955 il signor Giorgios tira a mano i fogli di pasta fillo . Pare sia uno dei pochissimi rimasti a farlo in tutta la Grecia.Un emozione vederlo lavorare , a 87 anni con la moglia Katerina.La bottega è di quelle di una volta , poche foto , zero fronzoli e tanto darsi da fare. Un maestro dedito ad un arte che scompare.Il figlio e i nipoti sono anche loro coinvolti nell’attività.Ovviamente baklava e kadaifi spaziali.

Wspaniałe miejsce w którym można podpatrzeć mistrza podczas pracy. Najwspanialsze ciasto filo i baklawy prosto ze stołu, zatopione w miodzie i pistacjach ...płace lizać . Wszystkiego można spróbować i kupić na miejscu Warto !!!!! Przemiły pan, który przejął rzemiosło po swoim tacie ... przemiła atmosfera ...warto odszukać i zobaczyć . Pomimo informacji które się wyświetla że jest zamknięte

This man is a legend. At a high age still making the best Baklava and kataifi there is. Together with his wife and son who learned all there is to learn from his dad. Worth a visit and take some sweets home. It will be the best you ever eat !

Non riusciamo a vedere la preparazione della pasta filo, ma la signora,anziana e dolcissima come i suoi dolci, ci invita a scegliere porzioni grandi o piccole di baklava... buonissimi

I first saw a documentary about Sir Giorgos at TV many years ago and I was so touched by this man making greek fillo the same way they did years ago...since then I always wanted to visit this store.It is like travelling back in time...for me as a pastry chef it was kind of magic!A wonderful kind,friendly and simple man doing magical sweets out of flour and water!The place must be visited by everybody passing through Rethymnon town!A culinary experience One-of-a-kind!!!

Unbelievable demonstration of making phyllo by hand. The baklava and kadaifi were excellent. I felt like a experienced a bit of history.
