Very pretty place, in a small bay, by the sea. Smiling and attentive welcome. Simple dishes but of excellent quality and freshness. Very modest prices, you eat for less than €15. Very nice spot after a beautiful hike in the Zakros gorges.

We loved this small, friendly, family run restaurant. The food was locally sourced, like rabbits from their own farm, and grandma's vegetable pies were divine. Each plate was beautifully prepared and presented. Simple, flavoursome dishes at affordable prices in a beautiful, relaxed setting.

Merveilleux endroit, délicieux diner, cuisiné et servi par l'adorable patronne. Cuisine traditionnelle, raffinée, plats faits maison et frais (pas du réchauffé!), en quantité et qualité au top.Table sur la plage, vue, calme.Le paradis.Pour un prix très modique.Nous en avons essayé pluisieurs et c'est de loin le meilleur.Merci à ce couple chaleureux, généreux et talentueux

At the exit of the gorge of death, there is a lovely beach and local nice restaurants. Among them you can find Glaros, a family restaurant with a menu full of Greek tastes. If you are an open person, the Owner will make you taste local specialities. Just trust him. :D

Nous y allons en famille depuis des années et l'accueil de Georges et Christina ne nous déçoit jamais ! La cuisine est savoureuse, les produits sont frais et la générosité de ces hôtes est tellement appréciable.GLAROS c'est la plus petite taverne de Kato Zakros mais ici vous y trouverez toute l'hospitalité crétoise que n'offre pas forcément les grandes tavernes touristiques...

Came to the beach and chose a couple of sun beds which just happened to belong to this wonderful restaurant . It’s small and easily missed amongst other larger places. We decided to have lunch here. (I think purchasing a drink was sufficient for use of the sun beds.)We had the special , dorado and greek salad. It was excellent. Friendly, helpful service too. Would highly recommend .

We visited a couple of times for a light lunch - gyros pita and a drink. Lovely location on the beach side. Food was good. As others have said, this taverna could easily be overlooked as it is not as big as the others,but if you are in Kato Zakros It is worth a visit. Give it a try!
