Booked very last minute but what an amazing last minute it’s turned out to be ..we literally cannot wait to come back and we’re still here … our room is beautiful, great decor, fabulous sea view … breakfast is superb .. the staff are so friendly and helpful…. Cannot wait to come back…

Our stay at the Makis hotel in Skala Kefalonia was superb.The hotel manager Lia is a real purl - always helpful, always smiling and with a great sense of humor. Lia did everything to make our stay pleasant and helped us greatly also with non-hotel related matters, e.g, providing a rental car in a situation where every car on the island was sold out. Very thankful for this. The rooms are very clean and nicely equipped in a boutique hotel style. The sea in front of the hotel is paradisiac.

Just a quick visit only doing 4 days....but omg I have fallen in love with skala, the hotel was fantastic, I got exactly what I paid for along with the friendliest staff, great food and drink. Nothing was too much trouble. Love it love it love it, see you next year for two weeks...thanks makis hotel x

Had a great holiday here. Dennis and Pannos are good company and all the girls who work in the hotel are lovely. Most people who come here come back time after time and we definitely would. The pool area was never too busy and just across the road you're on the beach with Vassilis who will go back and forth to the bar grill to bring you food and drinks all day. Been to skala a few times now and love it here, it's easy going and relaxing.

Arrived back yesterday and nothing bad to say about recent trip. Fabulous holiday from the minute we arrived. Very clean, comfortable rooms, staff friendly, food good and great value too. Would highly recommend and hope to visit again.

As a family we have stayed at the Makis hotel 3 times now. A wonderful welcome will await you. a hearty breakfast on the veranda of the restaurant, a veritable Fayre of lunch options at the pool bar and a great choice of dining at local restaraunts in Skala. Skala is a great base from which to explore this beautiful island. The beautiful fishing village of Fiskardo is a must visit as is Samos beach where Captain Corellis Mandolin was filmed.

I stayed in this hotel at the start of May 2010. I have nothing bad to say about it! Wonderful holiday! Hotel is lovely and clean, hotel staff are sooo lovely and make you feel very at home! The food served is very nice, lots of options. We took part in the watersports across the road from the hotel, great fun and good price! Lovely shops around and soo many place to eat and drink during the day and at night. Cant wait to go back! hoping to go in 2013! beautiful Island.

Stayed here for a week from the 8th of August, hotel was what i expected and more. Everyone so welcoming and helpful. Rooms typically greek. Location just across the road from the beach who charge 5 euros per 2 chairs and brolly for the day. Pool area was great, never too full of people and bar was handy for drinks and snacks. Was 5 min walk from restaurants and skala centre. Excellent hotel, would go back tomorrow if i could!
