Walking in the footsteps of the Romans is always an amazing experience and the agora gives you a sense of their life day to day. I nearly missed the museum that is buried underneath, don't forget it, the artefacts there are well worth a look.

Εντυπωσιακά όλα όσα έχουν διασωθεί! Άξιζει μια επίσκεψη! Να σημειωθεί ότι το ωράριο λειτουργίας είναι 8: 30-16: 00 καθημερινά εκτός Τρίτης που είναι κλειστά!

Its part of the Roman Agora ruins in the city of Thessaloniki. The remnants of the Amphitheatre and another administrative area could also be seen. It possibly has some underground too but most of the place are ruins.

It might not look much from outside but it a really nice open air / museum! The details and the history about this is explained in the musuem which is underground. Definitely a.muat visit for.everyone who is interested in history.

The museum here was laid out well, out of the heat and also very interesting to read how the public really pushed for the preservation and restoration of this forum when they found it after the great fire.

Όμορφος αρχαιολογικός χώρος, προσιτός και διαθέσιμος σε τουρίστες, ντόπιους κ επισκέπτες. Γύρω του υπάρχουν αρκετές επιλογές για καφέ κ φαγητό και ειδικά τις βραδινές ώρες ο διακριτικός φωτισμός προσθέτει κάτι παραπάνω στην όλη ατμόσφαιρα!

Ενα δροσερό πάρκο, λίγο πιο πάνω απ'το άγαλμα του Ελ. Βενιζέλου και δίπλα στην αυλή του ναού του Αγ. Δημητρίου. Όλα μια γειτονιά με αρχαία. Μ'αρέσει!

Visiting the underground Roman Agora museum is like diving in the history of the city back in the ancient times. "On the way up" you realize how this place has been alive and thriving through the centuries, in different eras, always buzzling with life; you can imagine the athletes taking their baths and the craftsmen in their workshops, even until the big fire of 1917. Definately worth visiting and giving it some time!
