Wir waren jeden Tag bei Socrates essen und wurden nie enttäuscht! Die Location, direkt am Meer. Der Service, unschlagbar. Das Essen einfach der Hammer! Das nächste mal auf Kreta, weiß ich schon genau wo ich wieder zum essen hingehen werde!!

Beat restaurant in crete !My family and i had a great time very good hospitality the mother cooked us fantastic local food everything was fresh strongly recommend to go there in the sunset hours

ristorante sul mare gestito da persone cordiali e disponibili. ottimi ed abbondanti primi piatti. buona il pasticcio preparato dalla proprietaria che si dimostra una eccellente cuoca. disponibile ad accontentare i gusti dei turisti. ottimo rapporto qualita'/prezzo. casualmente capitati al I° compleanno del loro nipotino. gentilissimi ci hanno offerto anche la torta. grazie di tutto e un saluto al "terrorist".

This is a family driven restaurant. It´s a warm and cozy atmosphere. The food is typical for the area. You can watch the dinner being made. The staff is great with kids. It´s clean. Try their Sunday specialty with lamb, it´s excellent!

We ate here twice and the food was wonderful especially the lamb! We watched the sunset over the sea, very romantic! The family that run it are lovely, we would definitely go back.

Ate here twice and they also let us have a drink and watch the football on another occasion . Family run restaurant and very friendly . Food good , usual prices . Wine good and cheap and a large beer at 2.50 euros . Raki and dessert on the house after meal and also whilst just having a drink . A good restaurant run by a nice family .

Went there because of TripAdvisor reviews which were spot on. Beautiful location by the sea in a quiet village. Fantastic fish plata for 2 beautifully cooked and presented. Dread to think how much it would have cost in UK. Very friendly family run but actually very high class food.

A great little family run restaurant, superb food, great value and fantastic hospitality. A must 'do' if you are visiting the area, I could not recommend it enough. George you are possibly one of the nicest human beings I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, I will of course forgive you for plying me with your homemade Raki. The wife and I had two fantastic nights, where we ate too much, drank far too much and had a truly great time. I thank you.

Decided to visit the Socrates after seeing the reviews on Trip advisor. Moussaka, Veal stew, and Omelette all delicious along with great hospitality from the owners. We travelled to Milatos by the Happy Train, from Sissi, which was a great way of getting to the resort. Would definitely recommend stopping at the Socrates, should you visit Milatos.
