We were recommended Το Στεκι by an expat Brit and had a lovely experience. We arrived early evening and had a pick of the tables but by the time we left the place was packed. The food and service were excellent and we had local music to boot. A great atmosphere and would recommend booking rather than just turning up.

We were 8 people who stayed for 10 days and tried different restaurants on the island and this was our favorite! Excellent service, delicious food and fair prices. Water and dessert for free. Very traditional atmosphere, greek people come here too. The only downside is the location which is near the main street but not so important for us. Everyone of the group recommends the restaurant!

This family run Taverna provides wonderful food in a friendly atmosphere . I ate here nearly every night of my two week stay and always had delicious food , freshly made every day .

Steki taverna in Skala Potamias is a great experience. Not in the tourist area of the seafront or harbourside it is slightly hiden in the streets of this smallish resort. It is very homely and welcoming. it was not crowded so the owners had plentry of time to chat and tell us some details of the island of Thassos. the food was delicious and was on the cheaper side. this is taverna you should try once to obtain a true flavour of Greece

We went in search of the Steki taverna based on a recommendation.It was difficult to find tucked away from the main resort and the seafront area where most of the tavernas are located. We felt our effort was worthwhile. The owners were very welcoming, the taverna was homely and the food was lovely. All round it was true Greek experience, very simple and it was not commercialised
