Am Dorfplatz von Ano Mera gibt es eine Vielzahl von Restaurants. Nach dem Zufallsprinzip suchten wir die Taverne Vardaris aus und haben die Wahl nicht bereut. Abenteuerlich bestellten wir die Tagesspezialität „Lammbraten“. Das Lammfleisch war butterzart und fiel förmlich vom Knochen. Ganz einfach mit gedämpften Kartoffeln serviert, dazu eine Karaffe Rotwein. Alles sehr lecker und herzlich.

We stopped in for some drinks and we had the most wonderful time. A beautiful location on the square and the service is exceptional. We were looked after so well and the wine was lovely Thanks to Michalas for being a lovely host

Am Ende vom Marktplatz gelegen aber ein kleines gemütliches Schmuckstück unter den Tavernen. Super nette Gastgeber die einen auch direkt auf die Spezialitäten des Tages hinweisen und es war dann auch glatt noch super lecker! Die gefüllten Auberginen u auch der griechische Salat sind sehr zu empfehlen. Top! Empfehlenswert!

I love it here, been coming for years! First of all Ano mera is one of the only authentic Greek Tavern places left where it's wonderful for children to play and to taste Greek food away from all the glitz and glam of Mykonos. Vardaris has fresh produce, delicious vegetables, good meat and phenomenal chips!! He's also very well known for his pies stuffed with spinach cheese etc. a must when visiting Mykonos if you need to eat something cheaper and simpler than all the other places.

I love vardaris, their serve freshly made dishes at an affordable price. One of the last place in Mykonos to have an authentic feel, Their grilled and marinated fish are delicious, as well as the boiled greens and mezze. The owner and the team are very friendly and welcoming and are open all year long. I like ano mera square as it is a quieter alternative to the main town of Chora.

Avons dine plusieurs fois durant notre sejour , la carte est varie et le poisson est aussi bon et bien cuisine que la viande, je recommande partculierement la dorade, les calamars les cotes d agneau et le veau de lait prix tres corrects pour Mykonos et vins tres agreables. service tres familial et souriant

We have visited this tavern for many years and many times.It is still probably the best one around the island.Excellent quality,many dishes,great tastes, and very friendly staff. It serves all the local Greek food,and you have many choices of different plates.Meat is the best,nice salads,pizzas etc. Go there for the best quality food around the island.

We stumbled on this place after taking a lunch stop in Ano Mera and glad we did. A very traditional greek experience (cats included!) at good price. Really enjoyed the honey balls (Loukamedes?) as well as the Fava. Recommend this place!

Staff were welcoming and the food was amazing. Meat was so so tender. Thoroughly recommend the lamb. Nice to sit on the square and watch the children driving the mini quad bikes!
